Winner of the latest series of The X Factor, Matt's debut single 'When Christmas Comes Around' written by Ed Sheeran charted at number 3, and peaked at number one on iTunes download charts the week of release.
Matt spent 8 years of his childhood growing up in Spain, where he became fluent in Spanish, and continued with his grades, breaking records at his school by being the first ever Brit to pass every year, and finishing his A levels.
Along the way he found a great mentior in his singing coach; Janet, who guided him to exactly where he is now. Returning to the UK, he had been accepted into D&B Academy of Performing Arts in London with the Rob Knox scholarship, where his passion for music, and becoming a singer grew more and more each day. A couple of years of hard work after graduating, Matt thought it was the right time to apply for The X Factor, and the rest is history. He will be forever grateful for the show, and all of the incredible team that taught him everything he knows, and created the artist he always wanted to be.
Signed to RCA (Sony), Matt is currently working on his first album following the win of 2016 X Factor.
