Derek's recent lighting design credits include PURE IMAGINATION (St James), HATCHED N DISPATCHED (Park) and GRAND HOTEL (Southwark Playhouse). He was associate lighting designer on HENRY V directed by Michael Grandage.
Previous to this, Derek worked as lighting desginer on SCENES FROM A MARRIAGE, St James Theatre directed by Trevor Nunn. His associate lighting designer credits include CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, Theatre Royal Drury Lane directed by Sam Mendes, SKYLIGHT, Noel Coward Theatre with Sonia Friedman / Disney Theatrical and SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, Noel Coward Theatre directed by Declan Donnelian.
Derek won a Whatsonstage Award for SWEENEY TODD at the new Twickenham Theatre and next directs CABARET and THE PILLOWMAN in Aberdeen.
